Can (straight) men and women every really be just “friends,” or are they simply fooling themselves (or others)? How about those who used to be in a relationship with each other — is it really possible to move past the physical and emotional attraction they once had, or are those feelings always there, lurking beneath the surface (on one side, at least)?
I often wonder if people with sad faces are actually sad. If not, did they used to feel that way, or have they experienced a lot of sadness in their lives? Alternatively, do their faces actually influence the way they see the world? Or am I seeing something that is not really there?
Does everyone have thoughts and feelings that they’ll never share with anyone? How many people have fantasized about doing or saying something that no one else will ever know? How many of us allow others to believe something about us that we know isn’t true?
